is a kit of the “cobra head” phaser II from Star Trek:The Next
Generation”. Kit is cast in a single piece of solid white resin and is
a perfect replica of the screen-used prop. Boxed with instructions.Prop kits shown are 1:1 scale highly detailed replicas of actual props used in the films or shows. Many are casts of actual screen-used prop weapons. Others are based on the actual weapons used by the prop makers with the proper modifications. All kits are cast in heavy solid white durable resin and come in full color boxes picturing the finished prop. Instructions and any hardware or labels required are also included. Since these are resin kits, a little kit building experience is helpful for assembling and finishing the prop, but not necessary. Remember, although the finished props look very authentic, these are only resin prop guns and cannot be made to fire anything. |

his kit will build up a static non-functioning prop. Electronic parts are not included. Moderate prop or model making experience is recommended. Tools needed: Hobby knife [X-Acto brand or similar], sandpaper [220-320 grit rough, 400-600 grit finish], files and/or sanding sticks, drill with a #20 bit [or 5/32”], and 1/8” bits, 8-32 tap with tap handle, small Philips screwdriver, standard or needlenose pliers. Materials needed: Cyanoacrylate [CA] glue with fast-cure accelerator, automotive or hobby spot putty filler, masking tape [blue painter’s tape recommended], epoxy glue [5-minute type recommended]. Optional: Bondo, 2 @ AAAA batteries. Paints needed [all spray cans]: Gray primer [sandable-type], Semi-Gloss Black, Testors Model, Master Magnesium Metalizer [#1453] and Titanium Metalizer [#1454 - small cans], Testors Aluminum Plate Metalizer [or Krylon Dull Aluminum], Testors Metalizer Sealer or Testors Dullcote [Testors paints available at hobby stores]. |
